On 26th February 2023, Leigh-Dale Cottage was officially reopened. Previous Cottage Warden, Violet Warner, had the honours of cutting the ribbon to officially reopen the cottage after renovation work that gave the cottage a much needed upgrade and refresh.
We’d like to give a special thank you to the local tradespeople who committed time and resources to the improvements made. Namely Joe Willis, Project Manager, and Niall Murphy, Consultant Engineer, who checked off each phase of the project.
The reopening was enjoyed by many volunteers from across the region, who gathered to share stories of Leigh-Dale and enjoy delicious treats, including a personalised cake made by Ladybird Leader, Kathryn.
Special thanks also go to the cottage committee for organising the day: Tracy Carroll, Deirdre Henley, Joan Shalvey, Ciara O’Reilly, Mary O’Donovan and Jennifer Shanahan.
